Sometimes, it's just about being informed. And it really makes the difference.  The credibility and integrity of the people I've talked to update my Blogs & Contents were, based from what I've observed, from how much they knew of the RH Bill or at the least, the purpose of the Bill. I think that also made me realize that I am only able to write about or give my opinion about this controversy was because I had access to information and because I had the information. Perhaps when people get to be more informed about the RH Bill, maybe, just maybe, more people may share how I see the benefits of the passage of the Bill.

...These three aspects are most likely the basis of the battles for passing or stopping the Bill. As what I have also learned in my previous blogs, depending on the context, one side could always use one of the three to justify their reasons. Either way, I think trying to push ones ideals "for the sake of the many" (utilitarian ethical perspective)  would not really end the desicion on whether it be passed or not. Its not really to prove whether or not the RH Bill is "constitutional" or even if it promotes promiscuity. I think its a matter of who's side is more proactive and is more assertive, whose side has the capability to execute what their side aims for.

And as far as I have observed in the new administration, I think the possibility of the RH Bill being passed is quite good.

A lot of people says that President Aquino is pro RH Bill, then again after sometime after the elections cool down some of his critics says that his claim on being pro is starting to "soften." Anyways, another important issue was that DLSU's Br. Armin would become the DepEd Secreatary. Let's just see what happens next.

Got a bit international for the past few days but I can't help but relate those topics here. I just remembered how the politicians last elections had their different stand on the RH Bill. I can't help but get annoyed on people who say things just for the sake of them being liked by the majority, though I do know that's what politics is about but isn't that a bit ironic. For honest politicians, its still the same. There are certainly times you should please the crowd around you. You lie for the sake of being true to your goals, whether it be for your own or for the country.

Though the RH bill is just on the bills waiting to be passed in the legislative branch, though this may sound very repetitive, like a mantra or drone's buzz....please..once in a while think for the country.

I got this statement from an abs-cbn news article when I read upon something about rural women being in favor of the immediate passing of the bill. These women even questioned the Church if they would be able feed their them with the non-passage of the bill. The group believes that the bill would strengthen the rights of women over their reproductive health.

Although abstinence may be an answer, it going to be quite difficult for couples, especially husbands to really do that (quite a reality to some, as some wives may claim). RH bill would be the answer for saving the lives women (see my post "Ang Istorya ni Elsa."

I had a class this morning where we had this discussion on sexuality. The topic was
how come people would put malice on things that are, well, in nature did not really have any sexual
connotations. We talked about several things like Hayden's scandal, bananas, eggplants, bananas, bunnies,
and stuff like those. But one of the examples he gave kind of gave me an idea why a LOT of conservative old hag-- I mean people would worsen things for the lads and lasses with sexual regressions.

He told us he had two daughters who attended in an acquaintance party of a Catholic school. Of course there
were some dancing and music and the DJ happened to play the taboo music for the kiddies during that time; the
oh so enigmatic Careless Whisper. When the faculty members started to hear the famous starting tunes of the song
they rushed towards the DJ and immediately stopped the song from playing any further. The stopping of the music caused
a commotion and the students started to wonder why. After awhile students started chattering " Uyy, oo nga noh diba yan yung
kanta dun sa scandal ni Katrina chaka Hayden," which effectively informed the students, even those unaware of it, of the malice connoted with the song.

Its so ironic to think that the more you try to prevent a person from knowing something the harder it is to keep things from that person. The discussion ended with our prof saying that people in nature love to talk about sex, and with people trying to keep themselves "self-righteous" by keeping that desire boxed can be quite "dangerous" so to speak.

Relating this to the main issue of this website,  one of the objectives of the RH Bill is to basically give information about sex. And the best way to help young people to be aware of the consequences of early parenthood and unwanted pregnancies is to educate them about sex and how to be on the safe side of things.

Facing the reality of things, teenagers these days in our country aren't quite as innocent as mommy thinks. Maybe easing their curiosity would lessen those raging hormones, because I think the more you openly talk and KNOW more about those kind of things the less they would dare venturing on the "taboo."
